SHARE — Somali Humanitarian Action for Relief and Empowerment — was established in 2020 in direct response to Somalia’s protracted and deepening humanitarian crisis. The founding team of Somali humanitarian practitioners recognized a critical gap: while international organizations provided significant resources, the absence of a strong, locally-led Somali NGO capable of reaching the most remote and conflict-affected communities in the South West State — particularly in Bay and Bakool regions — was leaving entire populations without life-saving assistance.
